Coat of arms of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia
On 16 March 2004, the State Heraldry Commission considered and approved the coat of arms of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia, designed by the artist Juris Ivanovs.
It includes a book encased in a purple shield with a paragraph sign on the left, surmounted by an upturned sword. Three stars are placed in a semicircle above the shield. The bearers of the coat of arms are golden eagles resting on a silver ribbon with the motto – “Dura lex, sed lex”.
The coat of arms of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia is included in the Register of Coat of Arms, indicating the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia as the owner of the coat of arms.
Flag of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia
In preparation for the 30th anniversary of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia on 26 September 2020, the decision was taken to create a flag of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia.
The flag was designed by artists Juris Ivanovs and Ilze Lībiete. In the photo the artists stand next to the Prosecutor General Juris Stukāns and the flag maker Ausma Apša.
The flag was solemnly consecrated during an ecumenical service on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Latvia.
